Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 2026

Your focus is private. Period.

Scrubr is built with a local-first philosophy. We believe your browsing history should never leave your machine.

1. Zero-Cloud Storage

Scrubr is a Local-First extension. Your custom keyword lists and preferences are stored exclusively on your local device. We do not use cloud databases to sync your data, ensuring your filters remain your business alone.

2. No History Tracking

We do not collect, store, or transmit your browsing history, IP address, or any information about the specific content you encounter on websites.

3. Payment Privacy

Payments are processed through secure, third-party providers. Scrubr does not store your credit card information or financial data on our servers.

4. Performance Tracking

To prove our value, Scrubr maintains a local counter of "posts scrubbed." This data stays on your machine and is never transmitted to us; it is purely for your own insight into your reclaimed focus.

Terms of Service

Last Updated: June 2026

By using Scrubr, you agree to the following terms:

1. Use of Service

Scrubr is provided "as is" to help you manage your digital focus. While we use advanced recursive DOM logic to hide content, the dynamic nature of the web means occasional slips may occur.

2. Respect for Platforms

Scrubr is a client-side tool. It does not modify the data on the servers of the websites you visit; it only changes how that data is displayed to you locally.

3. Licensing & Pro Access

Scrubr offers two types of Pro Access:

  • Annual License: Provides full access to all features for 12 months. This is a non-recurring payment. Access will expire automatically after one year, and the user must manually purchase a new license to continue using Pro features.
  • Lifetime License: Provides permanent, unlimited access to all features for a one-time fee. This license never expires.

All licenses are tied to your unique identity and are valid for use on a single device at a time to ensure security and prevent unauthorized key sharing.

4. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the keywords you choose to filter. Scrubr is a neutral tool designed to give you agency over your digital environment.
